About : This flight covers the area just south of Stawell, with over to the distance West you will see the Grampians National Park. Flying down over the Black Range Scenic Reserve, which is the location of the Bunjils Shelter - regarded as one of the most significant cultural sites in South Eastern Australia, see a local winery, seeing the vines from above before making an orbit of the township Stawell.

Ask to fly in the direction of the wind farms and see the wind turbine up close. During your flight learn about the region from your
pilot, including the gold rush history. Returning back to Stawell airport, taking a total of about 15 minutes in the air. NOTE: This tour is perfect for people with limited mobility - with vehicle access right up to the helicopter if required.

This flight tracks directly from Stawell towards the Beautiful Grampians, over the Historic Stawell Gold fields and 2 of our beautiful Grampians lakes, the largest gravity fed lake system in the southern hemisphere. Crossing the range north of Boroka lookout see another of our lakes, Lake Wartook the first water reserve built out side of Melbourne in the late 1800's.
Turning south the flight tracks past one of the most popular walks in the Grampians, the Pinnacle with the incredible Elephants Hide falling away towards the township of Halls Gap. From this location is one of the most incredible sights in the entire Grampians with 450 million years of rock formation evident in the Sera ranges as it stretches out to the south.

The flight proceeds through Rosea gap, past Mt Rosea, then with Mt William and the Major Mitchell plateau directly in front, the sheer size and grander of the Grampians is laid out around you.
The flight next turns left and tracks out over the southern edge of Lake Bellfield, over the top of Pomonal and directly back towards our base at Stawell Airfield along the historic Pipe track road, all the while with our detailed commentary on the incredible history and development of the area.

This flight tracks directly from Stawell towards the beautiful Grampians, over two of our beautiful Grampians lakes, crossing the range north of Boroka lookout see another of our lakes, Lake Wartook the first water reserve built outside of Melbourne in the late 1800's.
Landing at Mout Staplton Wines, where the Grampians meets the Wimmera. This small family run vineyard are also farmers for other crops, learn about the region, farming and the vineyard as you sample the wines.
Next, flying over more of the Grampians National Park, seeing highlights such as Mackenzie Falls and Halls Gap township before landing at the award winning Fallen Giants Vineyard.
