Imagine gently drifting over the Hunter Valley for 45-60 minutes, witnessing the breathtaking vistas of the region from above. This unforgettable experience continues with a delicious bubbly breakfast at Peterson House Winery following the flight.

Your Hunter Valley balloon ride adventure begins with a short drive to your launch site. This is determined by your pilot and depends on the wind direction on the morning. We have over a dozen launch sites to choose from in the lower Hunter Valley. Once at the Launch Site, it only takes around 25-30 minutes for your balloon to be inflated and standing upright ready for boarding. You are welcome to help with the setup of the balloon or simply stand back and take photos as your aircraft takes shape and comes to life.

Should weather prevent your flight, you can reschedule a new flight date up to 36 months after the original flight date.

The flexibility to transfer the location of your flight between any of our 5 flight locations – Hunter Valley, Byron Bay, Mudgee, Camden or Burketown.

IMPORTANT - Before booking please make sure you can agree to the below for you, and any participants/passengers that you are booking for.

Fitness to Fly Terms:

Hot Air Ballooning requires some active participation from passengers and, as such, a minimum level of fitness and well-being is required. By noting your agreement at the time of booking, you are confirming that no member of your booking party has:

Significant knee, hip, back or neck injury or issues; Any other existing conditions that would preclude them from following the pilot's instructions;  Climbing aboard the balloon using the footholds cut into the side of the basket; Assuming the landing positions with knees bent when instructed to do so; Absorbing a small bump when the balloon is landing or would prevent them from holding on to the safety handles when the balloon is landing. Had surgeries or broken bones within the past 3 months; or are currently under doctor supervision regarding surgery or injury, regardless of when surgery or injury occurred; An individual weight in excess of 140kg
Or is: Unable to stand for one hour unassisted, Currently pregnant Less than 7 years of age  Under 120cm tall.
